A crypto portfolio tracker is a personal record of your coins, amounts, purchase prices and fees, and Codeless Pilot helps you build one on your PC from CSV files you exported yourself. The agent writes the script. Shell runs it. You check the diff, the output and the totals.
Merge exports from several exchanges
Start with copies of the CSV files you exported from your own exchange accounts and wallets. Keep the originals untouched. The agent uses list_dir and glob to find the files, then read_file and grep to show each file's columns and odd rows, because 3 exports rarely share one date format. With write_file it saves a merge script, and Shell runs it and reports the real exit code. In Ask first mode the agent pauses before it writes anything, so you read the diff and accept or reject it. Compare the merged row count with each exchange's own statement.

Tracking cost basis means writing down what you paid for each coin, fees included. DCA means buying a fixed amount at regular intervals, and to track your DCA average cost a script divides the total spent by the total units. The agent reads the merged table with read_file, writes the calculation with write_file and, when you ask for a tweak, shows the change as a diff with edit_file. FIFO is the other common method, and rules differ by country, so check your local rules or ask a tax professional. Money amounts use decimal arithmetic. Round only for display. Then open the output CSV and recompute 1 coin by hand.

A tracker needs prices, and the agent gets them through your script. It writes the script with write_file, and http_get fetches one public price page when you run it. Prices are snapshots. They can be delayed and can differ between sources, so ask the script to store the source and fetch time next to each value, which a crypto price tracker app may not show. Amounts use decimal arithmetic instead of floating-point numbers, and the result works like a small crypto portfolio manager for your own files. Ask first pauses before the file is saved, and afterwards you compare 2 or 3 totals with your exchange statement.
Check totals and write a monthly summary
A summary is only as good as the rows behind it, and missing transactions or transfers between your own wallets can distort the numbers. Give the agent 2 exports and it can use the task tool to run parallel sub-agents, one per file, each reporting its own row count. Plan only then lists the steps for the monthly summary without running a command or changing a file. Plans survive restarts. Switch to Ask first to carry the plan out, let Shell run your tracker script, and read each diff before you accept it.
How it differs from a typical chat assistant
A reply is only text. Codeless Pilot 2.9.22 runs tools on your PC and shows each action as a card with its real result, which you can expand to read the full output.

How to start with your own exports
- Install Codeless Pilot on Windows 10 or 11 and compare the installer's SHA-256 checksum with the published manifest first.
- Connect a model, either a cloud provider, a model on your PC or the built-in one, and press Test to check the endpoint.
- Create a working folder, copy your exported CSV files into it and keep the originals somewhere else.
- Ask for the tracker in Ask first mode, read each diff, run the script and compare the totals with your exchange statements.
Who builds a tracker this way
Holders with exports from more than one exchange get the most from this. Exports can be merged. Different date formats and column names have to be cleaned first, and that suits people who prefer to keep their records in files they hold themselves, even when a crypto tracker app is available.
Beginners are welcome too. If a hosted crypto portfolio app feels too much, you can start with 1 exported file and Plan only mode, read the plan, and add the next export when the first total matches your statement.

Does a cryptocurrency portfolio tracker need my seed phrase?
No. A tracker only needs your transaction history and, if you like, public addresses you own. Never type a seed phrase, recovery words or a private key into the app, the chat, your code or a data file. Exchange API keys, if you use any, should be read-only.
Does Codeless Pilot give investment or tax advice?
No. It organises your own data and gives no investment, tax or trading advice. Average cost and FIFO are both common ways to calculate cost basis, and rules differ by country, so check your local rules or ask a tax professional before you rely on a figure.
Where do the coin prices come from?
A script you write with the agent reads public price data with http_get when you run it, and prices can be delayed or differ between sources, so treat each one as a snapshot. The tracker predicts nothing.
Do my files leave the PC?
Yes, with a cloud model, because the prompt text, including any file text the agent reads, goes to that provider, while with a local model nothing leaves the PC. Secrets in tool output are redacted before they reach the model. Chats stay on the PC.
Can the agent trade or move my coins?
No. Codeless Pilot is not an exchange, a wallet or a trading tool, and it never moves funds. Keep any exchange API key read-only, with no trading or withdrawal permission, in a local file you do not share. Work on copies of your exports.
